Discussion Question #2

Google is strict with their policies because of click fraud(CF), the act of clicking on ads for the purpose of costing the advertising money or publisher revenue. Click Fraud(CF) is the term that describe the concept. Clicking on ads (with no intention to buy) the advertisers will lose money, the publisher might gain(for a while) but eventually, the publisher would loose out on the special gifts that are freely giving to the public and they will also be taking away the fair enjoyment of other. Majority of web host are offering access logs, once you accept an access log, give it to Google, this allow Google to look for any suspicious activity on your site. Giving Google access is saying that you would want to help them in any way you can in solving the problem. Google combat this problem by giving you helpful tips in detecting click fraud (CF), but, Google, itself have a sophisticated algorithms in place that enable them to detect click fraud(CF), they keep the details under wraps so illicit clicker can't used the information to undermine the system. The steps that Google is using to combat these problems, I think is ethical.

Whole-House Surge Protection

It's important to protect all your electronic device, not just computers, from surges. Printers, televisions, appliances and computer peripherals all require protection. However, it can be inconvenient to use individual surge protectors on all devices that need protection. One solution is to install a whole-house surge protector as shown in this photo. The device is installed by an electrician and is attached to your circuit breaker panel. Whole-house surge protectors function like other surge protection devices, but they protect all electrical devices in the house at once. The typical cost of $200 to $300 (installed) is generally less than buying individual surge protectors for every electrical device in your home.

Discussion #1

Does the Pros outweigh the Cons in blogging

I don't know anything about blogging, but I do believe that the cons outweigh the Pros. for instance, in one class I have taken, they talk about the next generation(Gen Y), this is the generation that are going to take over, most of this generation is lazy, they don't want to work or take anything serious, they just want to party and have fun, so blogging to them is just a games or a way to get back at someone they doesn't like, they just want something juicy to talk about, so they will take the truth of something and make it untrue by adding more on to it. It's true that blogging make information more accessible, but you will have a higher chance that it will not be true. It will be interesting, but not true. I have read some good thing you can accomplish by blogging, but unless the next generation change their attitude, I believe the cons will always outweigh the Pros.
